Grief and loss are as much a part of the human experience as breathing. We typically think of loss in relation to physical death but there are many other types of loss. As infants, we cry because our toys are out of sight. Children grieve over their imperfections. We feel grief in moving, losing, unexpected changes and death. None is more or less important to us because it is “small.” And in the midst of it, the reassurances of others ring hollow. They say time heals all wounds, but that isn’t necessarily true. Grief and loss do need healing however. In this workshop we’ll explore the realities and resolutions of grief as well as understanding what healthy healing looks like.
